Disney Television Animation sponsors David H. Wright III to Head of Casting and Talent

Disney Television Animation has promoted David H. Wright III to the position of Head of Acting and Talent Relations.

In his senior role, Wright will continue to oversee all talent relationships and voiceovers for animated series and films produced by Disney Television Animation, the original content provider for Disney+, Disney Channel and Disney Junior, with a primary focus on fantasy, aspirational stories for children, teens, teens, and families.

Most recently Vice President of Cast and Talent Relationships, Wright reports to Meredith Roberts, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Television Animation at Disney Branded Television. Wright’s live reporting team includes Aaron Drewon, Jennifer Trujillo Andres, Julia Pleasants, Kristin Paiva, Tatiana Paul, Colin O’Donnell and Jennifer Clokey.

“Everyone in the animation voice acting industry knows that together, Dave and his impressive team are the proverbial wheels that keep the Disney Television Animation creative community so vibrant and fun,” said Roberts. “Leveraging Dave’s leadership, we bring the best in the industry and seize opportunities to have great new voice talent as well, which is intrinsically driven by creative collaboration and true service that his team provides for content and for fans of animation. This promotion recognizes his leadership and daily contribution to Disney’s creative vision.”

Wright, who joined Disney in 1997 as a talent coordinator for Walt Disney Pictures and Television, has led the team responsible for selecting all Disney Television Animation series and films since 2013, including three Emmy Award-winning “Elena of Avalor” for Outstanding Acting, shorts Emmy Award winner Mickey Mouse and Annie. The team currently oversees the selection of more than 40 productions.
