My Hero Academia crew shares new details about Bakugou’s escape from Kamino

My hero academy He witnessed some big moments that occurred throughout the series, but perhaps none of them were of the magnitude of the “Kamino Incident”, where some of the highest-ranking heroes of the Association of Heroes rescue Bakugou from the clutches of the League of Villains at exorbitant cost. With this incident leading to a giant conflict between All For One and All Might, the creative minds behind the anime adaptation recently took the opportunity to explore some untold tales when it comes to the arc that will see the current peace symbol forced into retirement.

Bakugou has come such a long way since the Kamino incident, not to mention the beginning of the Shonen story, that fans believed he might be the biggest villain that threatens Deku and the company in the future. Recently, Bakugo has not only perfected his skill, but has been cooled to an extreme, even managing to bury a hatchet with Izuku as the heroes band together in an effort to put an end to All For One’s machinations and villainous forces.

In a recent post, director Kenji Nagasaki, animator Yutaka Nakamura, and industry veteran Yoichiro Ogoru spoke with Anime Style magazine to discuss one of the most troubling times in Bakugo’s life as he was taken over by the League of Villains for Shigaraki and his company to convince him to become a evil:

“Nakamura says he wanted to show Bakugou’s frustration at getting caught exploding. Nakamura was told he flew Bakugou too far but he drew a cartoon so he thought he might, and Nakamura pushed the boundaries there a bit.”

During War Arc, Bakugo takes on the name of the funny hero of the Great Explosion Murder God Dynamite, proving that although the strong young hero may have held his nerve, he is still in everything when it comes to his explosive nature. With the events of the recent story in the Shonen manga, it is not yet clear whether or not the most popular character of Kohei Horikoshi will survive this ordeal.
