USC Soccer fans got their first first-hand look at quarterback Caleb Williams, who threw his first touchdown at Troy during Saturday’s spring game.
The annual USC Spring Soccer game gave new head coach Lincoln Riley the opportunity to show Trojan fans what to expect from his team in 2022.
The biggest draw of the day was certainly new quarterback Caleb Williams, who followed Riley from Oklahoma.
Williams’ exciting new campaign for the Sooners has got fans in Los Angeles dreaming about what he could bring to the USC show.
He delivered his first touchdown in front of the crowd at the Colosseum on Saturday.

It was fitting that Williams hooked up with Mario Williams in the final zone to score his first result since Mario also moved from Oklahoma to USC this off season. Both Williams starred as rookie students for the Sooners and decide to keep the train rolling with Riley with the Cardinal and the Gold.
They are hooked up again for another touchdown later in the first half of the spring game, proving that their current connection will be a key component of the USC offensive this year.
Caleb Williams was the No. 7 and No. 2 player in the 2021 class when Riley convinced him to sign with the Sooners. His talent was so obvious that he took the starting position from Heisman Trophy pre-season nominee Spencer Rattler.
As a true rookie, he threw for 1,912 yards and 21 touchdowns with four interceptions while using his legs to score six touchdowns.
Despite being the supposed starter for the Trojans in 2022, he still has to officially win the job over Miller Moss, who also appeared during the Spring Game.
