Sienna Miller: Dating Jude Law Saved Me From Harvey Weinstein’s Abuse

Sienna Miller recently said Watchman That Jude Law’s dating is probably one of the reasons she was abused by disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein. Miller was the star of Weinstein-backed “Factory Girl,” in which she played Andy Warhol’s muse, Eddie Sedgwick. The actress said that being in an affair with Lou shaped her relationship with Weinstein, as she often described the product as a “pop.” Law directed several Weinstein films before Miller worked with him, from “The Gifted Mr. Ripley” to “Cold Mountain.”

“I was Judd’s friend, and there was probably protection in that. Judd was a great actor for Harvey,” Miller said. “I’ve called Harvey Pops since day one, and I’m sure I helped; you won’t masturbate at that.”

Miller remembered one day when Weinstein yelled at her, but that was how rude he had been to her. Weinstein objected to Miller’s friendly social life outside of filming hours.

“One day I was training with Steve Buscemi, and Harvey called and asked me to come into his office,” Miller said. I said, ‘I’m at rehearsal. And he shouted, ‘Now!’ And I sent a car. He sat me in his office and said, ‘You don’t go out anymore, you don’t party, rah rah.’ I was having a lot of fun, but I managed to get to work on time. And he was standing over me while I was sitting On a chair, his lips tremble, then he shuts the door, and my tears erupt. Then he came back and said, ‘It’s because I’m proud of you.’ And he shut the door again.

Miller considered having Harvey yell at you as a badge of honor at the time because “you weren’t really installed until Weinstein made you cry”. The actor added, “I imagined that was what Hollywood producers were. I honestly felt he gave me the most verification. I was so grateful. I wasn’t actually afraid of him. I didn’t know he was raping people. He asked to meet me in a hotel, and I brought other producers and that was harmless. No one ever suggested a job.”

Weinstein is currently serving a 23-year prison sentence for first-degree criminal sexual act and third-degree rape.
