The world of One Piece introduced a lot of new characters with the arrival of Wano Arc, where the isolated nation was filled with heroes and villains looking to change the future of the country. Now, as Luffy continues what might be his last fight against the leader of the Beast Pirates, a crucial flashback appeared in the final chapter of the manga, showing us one of the most heart-wrenching moments in Momonosuke’s life.

warning. If you haven’t yet read the last chapter of One piece The manga, Chapter 1047, you might want to steer clear of the rest of this article because we’re going to dive into some serious spoiler areas.

as fans One piece Knowing he’s been following along with Wano Arc, Momonosuke has been flowing from past to present, thanks in part to his mother, Toki, whose Devil Fruit abilities allowed her to manipulate time in a way that kept her son safe. Oden’s son had to grow a lot in a relatively short amount of time, using his current dragon form to prevent Onigashima from landing on top of Wano Country. In a flashback, Momonosuke is told of his future fate by both his mother and samurai Kineemon.

Accused of rebuilding the Kozuki clan, Momo was reluctant to proceed with leaving his mother, but Kinemon implored Oden’s son to follow through:

“If you’ll forgive me for saying that, in the wake of Lord Odin’s death, you’re not just a child anymore. If I could speak freely, would you give us another chance to fight? If our lives were to be given up only to the flame, we’d rather perish for our own, and pray In our hands. Will you allow us to die as a samurai?”

Momonosuke agrees, tears are running down his face, as the current battle sees Oden’s son carry the weight of the island on his shoulders.
