Patrick Stewart as Professor Charles Xavier – Confirmed
The appearance of the fan-favorite actor in the movie has already been confirmed. Although the Fox Channel X-Men star hasn’t shown his face in any of the trailers, his voice is instantly recognizable. What we saw from the character is that he apparently has the same hopping chair as his character in the X-Men animated series from the ’90s and is part of the multi-worlds Illuminati. So yes, Professor X is in the movie, but it’s clearly a replacement for what we’ve seen before and leaves Marvel Studios with plenty of wiggle room to create their own version in the MCU.
Julian Hilliard and Jet Klein as Billy and Tommy – Confirmed
As teased in WandaVision’s post-credit scene, yes, Julian Hilliard (Billy Maximoff) and Jett Klyne (Tommy Maximoff) are set to reprise their roles in the upcoming movie. It’s not clear what role they will play in the movie, but the devastation Wanda suffered when she lost her children will clearly be a major factor in the sequel’s plot.
Hayley Atwell as Captain Carter – CONFIRMED
A recent TV website confirmed that this character will be making an appearance and it seems like a very reasonable point of call to believe that Hayley Atwell will return as the hero. Having played Peggy Carter in the MCU and voiced this alternate hero in Marvel’s What If…? Hayley is sure to return for the first time since Avengers: Endgame.
Lashana Lynch as Captain Marvel – Confirmed
Another cameo that’s been confirmed for a while thanks to marketing is Captain Marvel, star of Lashana Lynch who has appeared as her own kind of Maria Rambo, Captain Marvel’s character instead of Carol Danvers. She seems to be part of the Illuminati too, it’s not clear if we’ll ever find out what happened to Carol Danvers and Monica Rambo from her world, but she’s definitely in the movie.
Rintrah – Confirmed
Although it’s unclear who will voice the character, or if they have any streaks, the Green Minotaur has been confirmed to appear in the film for at least a short while.
Bruce Campbell like….? – Sure… kind of
Longtime collaborator Sam Raimi made several teasers about his appearance in the film, including two April Fools’ Day “leaks” about his appearance in the film. Who he’s playing and whether he’s even in the movie is still up in the air as the actor himself wondered if he made the final cut.
“It’s hard with Marvel movies, it’s even hard to lie because I might be lying in my lie. If I told you I thought I wasn’t in it, I could still be in it,” Campbell said on Radio Labyrinth Podcast. “Even if I were to do axial engraving – because I only do axial engraving, and I could explain if I saw it – we wouldn’t really know the answer until May. If I were [Doctor Strange actor] Benedict Cumberbatch, I’d be worried about getting cut.”
Tom Cruise as Superior Iron Man – Debunked
Since the first look at Lashana Lynch’s Captain Marvel variant was revealed, many fans have been convinced that it is. Really Tom Cruise as Tony Stark Variant. It’s been theorized as a piece of metaphor as Cruise has been considered for Iron Man in the past, but it simply won’t happen. there no thing Which prove or confirm the existence of such an inscription, and in fact a lot of evidence to the contrary. Throughout the time Doctor Strange was in the multiverse preparing and shooting, Cruise was developing and shooting the seventh and eighth films: Impossible Movies. The actor clearly has a lot on his plate, with likely unavailable for a Marvel movie debut.
Charlize Theron as Clea – Rumored
Rumors abound that the Mad Max: Fury Road star will appear as a half-human, half-dark dimension who, in the pages of Marvel Comics, has taken Stephen Strange’s hand in marriage. Nothing confirmed this yet, but think back to the time before Marvel’s Eternals, we had no idea Harry Styles was playing Starfox in that movie, right? However, Theron previously said that Marvel never approached her for a role.
“I swear to God. I didn’t get anything,” iHeart Radio Podcast “The Big Ticket” in July 2020. “No, I’m not lying to you. But that’s fine. You know? I pave my own way. I create my own opportunities. So it’s okay.”
Tom Hiddleston as Loki – Rumored
Given the connection between Loki on Disney+ and the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it would make sense for an appearance. Last year, rumors began swirling that Hiddleston would appear in the film, although the report at the time simply said it was “expected” he would. There has been no news of a possible appearance since then.
Anson Mount as Black Bolt
It was rumored that one of the members of the Illuminati would be Inhuman Black Bolt, with actor Anson Mount reprising his role from the short-lived ABC series. Seems like pure nonsense, fanfiction, and made-up, there’s no love lost between Marvel Studios and the spawned TV show Inhumans, which in itself is a complete failure. Marvel Studios will almost certainly never acknowledge this show, and if they decide to use any of these characters, they will definitely remake them.
