One of the main differences between the SF314-512T-56CT and the SF314-512-52MZ appears to be the battery capacity. Although Acer does not explicitly state the battery capacity for either of these notebooks on its website, it does say that battery life is up to 7 hours for the SF314-512T-56CT and up to 10.5 hours of battery life for the SF314-512-52MZ Model. We’re also looking at a $50 price difference between the two, so keep that in mind. The top-tier configuration with an Intel Core i7-1260P, you see, is priced at $999. This variant also comes with a 14-inch QHD display instead of an FHD panel.

We expect Acer to list more notebook configurations as soon as the launch date approaches. There should be other variants with more storage options as well. If you’re wondering, the Acer Swift 3 (2022) laptop comes with an Intel Core i5-1240P or Core i7-1260P processor. You can also choose between 8GB and 16GB LPDDR4X memory as well as up to a 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD. The models listed currently only have up to 512GB of SSD, which means Acer hasn’t yet packed all models or configuration options on its website for sale. We suggest you head over to our Acer Swift 3 (2022) homepage to learn more about the specifications of this laptop.

Which one should you buy?

The decision to choose one variant over the other boils down to your daily laptop use case and your personal preferences. If you are a regular user, and are looking to buy a new laptop for basic web browsing, watching movies, etc., we think you can consider buying a basic variant that comes with an Intel Core i5 chip along with 8GB of RAM And a storage capacity of 512 GB. You might want to give more preference to a QHD panel, although we think the FHD screen should be enough for a 14-inch form factor. On the other hand, power users can consider purchasing the variant with an Intel Core i7-1260P chipset and up to 16GB of RAM.

We will add a link to purchase two of these variants of the Acer Swift 3 (2022) as soon as it goes on sale.
