The CW has released a preview for the 14th episode of “Funeral For a Friend.” SparkleSeason eight. The episode will be broadcast on Wednesday, May 11th. This week’s episode, “Death Falls,” saw Team Flash deal a major blow with the death of beloved team member, Frost (Daniel Banabaker). Now, in the wake of a devastating loss, Team Flash has to find a way to keep working and honor Frost’s memory, but as you can see in the preview below, it’s something everyone is struggling with.
Frost’s death is one that showrunner Eric Wallace previously said would permanently change the Flash team emotionally and it looks like “A Friend’s Funeral” is where we’ll get our first taste. Panabaker, who plays both Frost and Caitlin Snow in the series, told ComicBook.com in a recent interview that it would be particularly devastating for Caitlin as well while Team Flash will have its own struggle finding a foothold.
“I think this is going to be a real challenge for Caitlin,” Banabaker said. “She hadn’t had a partner in the romantic or platonic sense in years and I think Frost really filled that void. And despite the fact that their relationship, which wasn’t perfect, that she loved, Frost was her partner in just about every sense and loss of that person, sister and friend. All of that, I think, would be devastating for her and I’m not sure how she will recover.”
“It’s a huge loss for them,” Banabaker said of the Flash team. “Last year when I left Cisco, that was a loss, but he came back and it was a different kind of gold, but not forever. Frost is gone forever, and I think it would take a minute for Team Flash to find a foothold.”
