It’s rather surprising that there are members of the One Piece community present today, May 5thypublished a Luffy-inspired artwork that wasn’t even born when the popular manga debuted in July 1997.

How old is Luffy in One Piece?
Monkey D. Luffy’s birthday is May 5thywhich is known in modern Japan as Children’s Day in Japan and is part of the celebrations of Golden Week, but how old is Luffy in the One Piece series?
When we were first introduced to the future captain of the Straw Hats in his first appearance in Chapter One, Luffy was only 7 years old.
In volume 4, which was released in August 1998 and July 2004 for the Japanese and English releases respectively, Eiichiro Oda open It was reported by SBS that Luffy was 17 years old before the infamous time skip.

While Luffy is among the youngest characters from the One Piece series, he is not the youngest member of the Straw Hat Pirates.
According to the various fan pages of the series, the Straw Hats are of the following ages and as you can see by their birthday dates, there are actually two characters younger than Luffy – Chopper and Nefertari Vivi.
