The BBC officially announced on Sunday sex education Ncuti Gatwa will replace Jodie Whittaker as the star Doctor from In the upcoming 60th anniversary season. The news comes ahead of the BAFTAs TV show today, which nominated Gatwa for Best Male Performance in a Comedy Show for his role in Sex Education. back Doctor from Show host Russell T Davis accompanied Gatwa on the red carpet for the event. There, they revealed that they have been keeping the new secrecy since February. Gatwa says he’s happy to break the news out in the open because that means he doesn’t have to try not to blow it up anymore.

Unlike a doctor, I may only have one heart but I give everything for this show.”
