Cannes Market: “Gimme My Money” women-led comedy in Kung Fu

Taiwan and Los Angeles-based Organic Media Group will launch rights-based sales in Cannes for “Gimme My Money,” a women-led comedy-comedy.

The film, which completed principal photography last week in Los Angeles, stars Marcy Miller, Raymond J. Barry and veteran Chinese-American actor James Hong. Hong will receive his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday.

Written and directed by Bill Vigil, “Gimme My Money” is about a cruel and mysterious woman who calls on the mob to raise money and make sure crime pays the price this time around.

Produced by OMG, GPS, and Silver Streak Entertainment, Hollywood Stuntworks provides Jane Austen with the cast. Austin (“Star Trek: Insurrection” and “Avatar: The Way of Water”) takes on the credits of producer and sexy curator alongside producer Shari Hamrick. It has led scheduled production and will now oversee post-production to ensure delivery by Q3 2022.

Other credits are to Jesse Aragon as cinematographer, Jason Stewart as film editor, Morgan Jordan as costume designer, Kelly de la Cerda and Brian Marie as makeup.

Mick S. Grewal, Sr.

In the presence of Sales Agent Guy Joyce of Level 33 Entertainment in Cannes, he will sell the aforementioned OMG TV titles. OMG’s Director, Steve Chicorel, will lead the foreign and domestic sales of “Gimme My Money”.

“When Steve and I asked buyers what would work best for their markets, the answer was smart, fun, wall-to-wall action movies and that’s what we have in ‘Gimme My Money,'” Grewal said.

“The combination of comedy and action in this clever scenario created by Bill Vigil will result in an action packed crowd,” Austin said.
