Android 13 Developer Preview versions now available for these devices

It’s raining with the Android 13 Beta build! Now that the Google I/O 2022 main event is over, we are all very excited to launch the second beta for Android 13. As usual, Google’s Pixel line of smartphones will be the first to get access to the new beta program. However, other OEMs have also announced their Android 13 beta initiatives in the form of “Developer Preview” programs.

Keep in mind that OEM Developer Preview versions are not fully compatible with the Google beta program. You may not get periodic OTA updates on the preview channel like pixel, and a stable transition to beta (or vice versa) may require a clean flash. Furthermore, pre-release builds are usually quite barebones compared to the respective OEM skins. However, if you see your phone in this list, it is very likely that you will be the first to get the Android 13 stable update when it is finally launched.

Below you can find a list of non-Google devices that have joined the Android 13 group. For Google Pixel smartphones, take a look at the Android 13 download index for download links.

ASUS

ASUS has opened an Android 13 beta program for the ZenFone 8 (sold as ASUS 8Z in India).

Lenovo

If tablets are your thing, you can now try out Android 13 on your Lenovo P12 Pro.

Nokia

HMD Global’s Nokia-branded phones run on a near-stock version of Android, so it’s not too surprising to see a Nokia device in this beta initiative. However, the company’s landing page is down for now, so we don’t know which device is eligible for a developer preview.

oneplus

Just like every year, owners of the latest OnePlus flagship are set to get an early taste of the upcoming Android release.

Oppo

OPPO is no stranger to providing early access to the latest Android versions. For several years, OPPO’s latest phones have worked with early Android beta versions, and this year there is no exception.

real me

The only Realme phone that can access the beta version is the Realme GT 2 Pro. If you have one, you can try Android 13.

sharp

Sharp may not be a famous brand around the world, but it has also participated in the beta program.

vivo

Due to the fact that Vivo shares the BBK Electronics bloodline with OPPO, OnePlus and Realme, it also has its own Android 12 beta software.

xiaomi

Unlike most other OEMs on this list, Xiaomi doesn’t limit beta access to just one of its devices. Instead, it offers eligibility for one tablet and two of its phones.

ZTE

As with ASUS and Realme, ZTE is limiting the preview program to just one phone – one that hasn’t made it to stores.
