While OnePlus is busy shaping Android 13 through its Developer Preview program, the company is also working to remind users that it hasn’t forgotten about OnePlus Nord by releasing an update through its Open Beta program. It may take several more Open Beta rounds before we see the final stable OxygenOS 12 build on this hardware, but the OEM is making steady progress in that direction. The third beta version of the OxygenOS Open Beta based on Android 12 is now available for the OnePlus Nord device.
As expected, Open Beta 3 is mostly a bug-fixing update, and we’re not seeing much confusion in terms of new features or UI changes. Fixes for boot animations and Google Assistant voice activation, for example, have been posted. The design also addresses the issue of flashy accents. Finally, the Android security patch has been upgraded to April 2022.

Download OxygenOS 12 Open Beta 3 for OnePlus Nord
Users already in the OxygenOS beta path will receive this update as an incremental OTA if they are a non-rooted stock, and as a full update if they are rooted. On the other hand, people who are not enrolled in the beta program need to manually download the ROM and flash it.

Although installing the Open Beta on top of creating a stable channel will not erase your data, it is advised that you still take a full backup of your important data before switching the update path. You can flash a file undo package If you want to return to the fixed channel.
