OnePlus Nord Finally Gets Stable Android 12 With OxygenOS 12 Update

OnePlus recently released the third Open Beta for Android 12 for the OnePlus Nord phone. This build was mostly to improve system stability, with a few bug fixes among other things. Now, the company has gone ahead and rolled out the stable version of OxygenOS 12 to OnePlus Nord in the form of a phased rollout.

According to a recent post on the OnePlus community forums, the OEM has started rolling out the stable OxygenOS 12 update to the Indian variant of OnePlus Nord. OTA for European models is awaiting additional verifications. However, there is no official word regarding the update roadmap for the global version yet.

Although not explicitly mentioned, the base version of the OxygenOS layer is 12.1 in this version. The release also packs in the April 2022 Android security patches. Here’s the full OxygenOS 12 change for OnePlus Nord:

As a matter of fact, OnePlus Nord’s Open Beta 3 release and the first stable release of OxygenOS 12 are completely identical. Not only the internal version numbers are the same (F.11), but the contents of the OTA payload packets are also consistent every byte. Hence, the list of known issues from OB3 software is applicable to stable build as well.

In case you want to downgrade to OxygenOS 11 at some point, you can download the rollback package from the link below. Keep in mind that this will erase all your data, so you should take a backup before proceeding.
