Dragon Ball Super has released an early look at the next big chapter in the manga, and with it teases some cool new looks for Goku and Vegeta with its own promo! The Granolah the Survivor arc is getting closer to its grand finale, and previous chapters of the series have seen more focus on Goku’s father Bardock in the past as he battled a Saiyan warrior and defeated a small gas. With this flashback offering a fresh look at the fan-favorite warrior, it’s now time for the series to go back to the present and throw Goku and Vegeta back into the fight.
The reason Goku needs to get a glimpse of his father in the first place is the fact that he and Vegeta are searching for any real way to defeat Gas, and the chapter 84 preview teases that Goku seems to have found an answer in watching his father defeat Hitter in the past. It’s a collision between past and present heading toward the future of the series, so it’s very fitting that Goku and Vegeta briefly don some new Saiyan armor as they prepare for the next phase of the fight. Early Preview of Chapter 84 of Dragon Ball Super It raises the idea that after a flashback, the fight with gas will continue again. Monaito shows off healing Saiyans before they get thrown into his thicket, but before doing so gives them some classic Bardock-style Saiyan armor. It’s a beautiful nostalgic look at Vegeta, but it’s a first for Goku and the two immediately complain about the unwanted change as Monaito wonders why Goku refuses to look like his father. But as fans know, the two are far from classic Saiyans.
We’ll be taking a more proper look at their Saiyan armor arrangements when the entire actual chapter is released in just a matter of days from the time of writing, so luckily it won’t be too long. Granolah the Survivor arc seems to have reached its proper climax as these new images from the upcoming seasons tease, but what do you think?
