Barry Pepper stars in the horror movie Luke Sparke Scurry

Barry Pepper (“Saving Private Ryan” and “Maze Runner”) is set to star in Luke Sparke’s “Scurry” horror movie.

Film Mode Entertainment launches global sales at Cannes.

“Scurry” sees two wounded strangers – a family man and a criminal – trapped underground as the city above comes under a brutal attack from the menace. They bleed without resources, and their only hope is to get out of a treacherous tunnel before time runs out.

Carmel Imrie, Carly Sparke, and Luke Sparke are producing the feature while Zac Garred and Alex Becconsall are co-producing.

Clay Epstein, Jeff Emery, and Luke Spark are executive producers.

“Scurry” is produced by Film Mode Entertainment and Sparke Films.

“We are excited to be working with Luke and the Sparke Films team on another feature film that raises the bar for the genre as well as the commercial viability of the project around the world,” Epstein said. “The addition of Barry Pepper and his skilful talent, along with his massive global following from movies like Saving Private Ryan and ‘The Green Mile’ to more recent titles that have crossed the billion dollar box office mark, all add tremendous value to ‘Jog.'”

Producers Carly Spark and Carmel Emery added, “As massive horror/thriller fans, it’s great to be able to get into the genre with ‘Scurry.’ This high-profile horror movie is sure to terrify and have audiences on the edge of their seats when they watch it.”

Pepper is represented by Untitled Entertainment, Kohner Agency, and Mark Wetzstein on Sloane, Offer, Weber, and Dern.
