League of Legends developers teasing more champion updates

league of legends Developer Riot Games has just finished releasing a trio of what it calls “mid-range updates” for Swain, Olaf and Taliyah, but the studio already has more of these updates for additional heroes. Riot taunted a lot this week by saying it’s working on these types of updates for “a few other heroes,” though we don’t yet know who those updates will be for. These come in addition to many other types of mods already known on the way for a few heroes as well as a brand new character that we hope to see more of soon.

Riot August Company, the chief designer of league, I talked about the mid-range updates that Riot has been talking about over the past two weeks until the latest releases. The league The designer said that more will be shared about these plans in the future, but Riot was not yet ready to talk about which champions would receive these mid-range updates.

Often referred to as “mini-mods” by the community, these mid-range updates entail changes to parts of the heroes’ groups that don’t change their overall playstyle but rather update their abilities a bit more while alleviating some grievances. Taliyah’s mid-range update, for example, kept all of the hero’s core abilities the same while allowing her to do more with her Worked Ground and enhancing the counter-mobility aspect of her group. These are different from gameplay updates that are completely different from hero collections and they are also different from visual updates and game updates that completely rework the visuals and gameplay elements.

While we don’t yet know who these mid-range updates will be, the good news associated with these types of updates is that they don’t take long to release after they’ve been revealed, at least not based on what we’ve seen so far. The Vanguard update, for example, was fully detailed on April 27 and released two weeks later on May 11. This doesn’t mean every mid-range update will move at that speed, but it’s a very different timeframe than what players expect from bigger updates like those of Aurelion Sol, Skarner, and Udyr.

Re action aside, buzz in league Now it centers around a new hero, Belfith. Riot revealed this week’s first cinematic in Void jungle that has players wanting more. Whatever this hero is ultimately capable of, we can count on seeing him playable on PBE servers first before heading into the live game.
