Hollywood multi-hyphenate veteran George Gallo (“Bad Boys,” “The Comeback Trail”) is attached to live action “Gambino,” a cutting-edge biographical film about organized crime leader Carlo Gambino that Gallo co-wrote with two-time Academy Award winner Nick Vallelonga. (“Green Book”).

Nassau has acquired the rights to “Gambino: The Rise” by Pierre James, which delves into the American story of Cosa Nostra starting with her novel. “Gambino” is produced by Julius R. Nasso, Tony Renis, founder and CEO of China Bridge Capital Edward Zheng, and Santo Versace, an investor and president of Italy’s Minerva Pictures.
Minerva President Gianluca Corti will serve as executive producer, as will Helena Zing.
The film is produced by Nasso Production, the Nasso-Zeng Company. Pic was funded entirely by Edward Zing and former Credit Suisse CEO Tejan Thiam, who were present at the film’s announcement in Cannes.
Minerva Pictures will handle international sales, excluding the United States, on “Gambino”.
