What’s in Disney+: Movies and Shows for June 2022

Disney+ invites you to get your very own Gleek. All six seasons of Fox’s hugely popular teen music series are set to air on June 1, starting the month with programming with fanfare.

June will also see the release of several high-profile original series to the streaming device. Miss. The Marvel movie, Marvel Studios’ latest production, will premiere its first episode on June 8. The series stars newcomer Iman Fellaini in the title role, and will lead to the upcoming theatrical movie “The Marvels.” Later in the month, on June 29 (June) The “Big Hero 6” spin-off “Baymax!” will release all episodes. The six-episode animated series follows the popular Baymax character “Big Hero 6” as he sets out to provide healthcare services to people in need, and falls into unfortunate incidents Along the way.

June 24 will see the release of two new Disney+ movies. “Rise,” a sports biographical film directed by Akin Omotoso, tells the true story of the Antetokounmpo brothers, three young Nigerian men who emigrate with their parents to Greece and discover a natural talent in basketball, eventually seeking careers in the NBA For professionals. Newcomers Uchi Agada, Rall Agada and Jaden Osimoa portray Giannis, Athanasios, and Konstantinos Antitokonmo. On the same day will see the premiere of a video version of the theatrical production off-Broadway “Trevor: The Music”. Based on the 1995 Academy Award-winning short film, “Trevor” follows a 13-year-old boy who is bullied because of his sexual orientation. The original film served as inspiration for the non-profit organization The Trevor Project.

In addition, content from Disney affiliates will appear on the player throughout the month, including Freeform teen drama “Grown-ish” and ABC’s family sitcom “The Wonder Years” on June 15, and Disney Channel’s animated series “Owl House” in June 29.
