Cannes Film Festival Winners Announced (Live Update)

Cannes – The Awards are underway to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Cannes Film Festival, concluding 12 days of competition among 21 international films. “Benedita” star Virginie Evira played the lady of ceremonies, while several directors could be seen waiting to receive their awards, including Claire Denis (“Stars at Noon”), Park Chan-wook (“Decision to Leave”) and Belgian brothers Jean-Pierre and Luc Darden (“Tori and Lukita”).

The official selection jury was chaired by French actor Vincent Lyndon, who won the Best Actor award at Cannes in 2015 for “The Measure of a Man”. Lyndon co-presented the awards with fellow jurors: Iranian director Asghar Farhadi, English actor and director Rebecca Hall, French director Ledge Lee, American director Jeff Nichols, Indian actor and producer Deepika Padukone, Swedish star Noomi Rapas, Norwegian director Joachim Trier and Italian actor.
