Earlier today during the Mando+ panel at Star Wars Celebration, the official confirmation came from Lucasfilm that actress Natasha Liu Bordizzo will play Sabine Wren in the future. Ahsoka TV series. Bordizzo’s selection was first reported to the press in November 2021, but confirmation from the studio never came. The couple also opened up about what they learned from Filoni about the franchise with Bordizzo adding, “Star Wars is about hope and it’s about rising. Bordizzo won’t be the only Star Wars Rebels character to appear in the Ahsoka TV series as the first stills from the series were shown earlier and it was confirmed that Hera, Ezra and Chopper would appear as well. The show’s production roster had previously teased that the show’s plot would be about Ahsoka’s continuing pursuit of Grand Admiral Thrawn and the search for Ezra Bridger. None of these roles have been cast as far as we know yet but filming for the series has officially begun and a release date of 2023 has been confirmed.
