Obi-Wan Kenobi It made its way onto the Disney+ streaming service this weekend, and from what we can tell from the first two episodes, fans are on a wild ride. The series takes place ten years after the events of the series Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, so there is plenty of wiggle room. During the first and second episodes, we introduced some new characters with re-introductions of some of the characters we met before in both live action and animation. Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode two featured a pink-haired spice runner named Tetha Gregg. It turns out that the actress who plays the character is none other than Ewan McGregor’s real-life daughter, Esther Rose McGregor (via /Movie).

Obi-Wan searches for Princess Leia on a planet called Daewoo under the guise that the young woman is his daughter. When he met Tetha Grig, I asked him if he’d like some great spice catalog, and then Obi-Wan asked him if he could get “some information” about his missing daughter instead. Tetha replied that he would never see her again, and then gave him a sample of the spice for free.
Obi-Wan Kenobi It is set to focus on the time period following Revenge of the Sith in which MacGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi hides from the Empire and also monitors a young Luke Skywalker until he reaches the age where he needs to be trained in the ways of a Jedi. The series will even feature the reunion of Obi-Wan and Darth Vader. Obi-Wan Kenobi Director Deborah Chow recently compared the two’s relationship to a love story.
“For me, across the previous parts, through the original trilogy, there’s a love story dynamic with these two that goes through it all,” Zhao revealed to Vanity Fair. “I felt it was very difficult not to do that[include] The person who left Kenobi in such pain in the series… What distinguishes this relationship is that they loved each other.”
Lucasfilm and the streaming service describe the series as follows: “In the era of the Galactic Empire, a former Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi embarks on a crucial mission. Kenobi must confront allies turned into enemies and confront the wrath of the Empire.” The first two episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi Streaming exclusively on Disney+. The series stars Ewan McGregor, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Pace, Kumail Nanjiani, Song Kang, Musa Ingram, Indira Varama, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Robert Friend, Simon Kessel and Benny Sadhvi.
