BBC Studios and Dubai-based MBC Studios have teamed up on the first Arabic-language adaptation of The Maktab.
Entitled “The Office”, the Arab Return to Leadership BAFTA and Golden Globe Award Winning British Comedy Series It will be held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Hisham Fathy Al-Masry (“Ending So Gently”) will direct with Italian Alessandro Martella serving as Director of Photography and Shadi Mikdad of Riyadh-based AFLAM Productions.
Cameras is scheduled to premiere in June on the original MBC Studios where he appeared The international production team at BBC Studios, who licensed the format, will also have input.

A fly-on-the-wall documentary, The Office was written and directed by Ricky Jervis and Stephen Merchant, and first aired in the UK over 20 years ago. The agreement with MBC STUDIOS and BBC Studios will set 12The tenth International sale of the formula, along with other regions including the United States, Canada, Chile, France, India and most recently Poland.
