The WWE NXT North American Championship was on the line tonight during NXT In Your House, and over the past few weeks, the feud between champion Cameron Grimes and Carmelo Hayes has heated up. Tonight is the time for that fight to finally be settled, and both stars have responded consistently thanks to knowing each other so well. Trek Williams tried to give his friend the upper hand on several points, but Grimes always found a way to keep the numbers advantage at bay, and at one point he seemed to win the bag. Hayes kept getting up though, and after jumping off the rope and delivering a powerful kick, it was Hayes who was crowned the new NXT North America Championship again.
Both were slow to get close and then locked up hard, Grimes would hit Hayes down and then throw him into the ropes, but Hayes sent him drooping only to keep Grimes on his feet. They exchanged moves again and came to a standstill and then Hayes missed again but Hayes tried to drop his shoulders, exchanging two more sets of covers before getting back on their feet.

Grimes scored Hayes with a big kick to the chest but Hayes returned the favor only to be picked up and hit in the back. Grimes then kicked him in the chest again but Hayes kicked him out of cover. Hayes would bounce and knock Grimes out and then put him back in only to make a smooth motion over the top rope that caused Grimes to fall onto the ring apron and send him to the ground.
Hayes returned to Grimes and continued to push him away, but Grimes stood on his feet only to catch his foot. Grimes fought back but missed his next attack, and Hayes went to make a push but Grimes missed the move. Hayes then dodged the next step and soared into the air, tying Grimes to the clothes, but was thrown out. Trek Williams is assisted in the next step by Hayes, tired his hand to the second rope but frees himself only to be met by Hayes, who slams him and goes for cover but Grimes is sent off.
Hayes focused on Grimes’ shoulder and arm afterward, but Grimes reversed things when he jumped ropes along with Hayes, flipping him over and hitting him to the ground. Both weren’t strong in stature and then Grimes sent Hayes out and hit a hard kick in the knee. Hayes was captured by Grimes and dropped into the cover but Hayes was thrown out again. Grimes lifted Hayes but was blocked though Grimes hit him with a super hit but grabbed the bottom rope. Grimes landed a big punch and then went one step further but didn’t get all of it and fell on his back. Hayes then lowered him to the cover, but he was fired.
Another nearby fall ensued, and Grimes prepared to finish it but Hayes hit a head kick and then Grimes hit one and a Hurricane, then dived over the top rope and brought down Hayes and Williams. Williams then tried to grab Grimes’ leg but Grimes sent him forcefully to the ground. Then Grimes ran into the ringlet of the ring and Hayes climbed to the top. He called a huge kick and covered the Grimes, and that was it. Hayes is now once again your champion for North America.
