Warning: spoilers welcome the first episode of MS MARVEL. The MCU has a new origin story as Ms. Marvel hits Disney+ today, after teenage Kamala Khan gets powers from a mysterious family bracelet she was putting on at the end of the first episode. Surprisingly enough, there was actually a final credit scene, featuring a character from Spider-Man: No Way Home.
The ending scene of Mrs. Marvel’s credits sees a woman watching a clip of Kamala using her powers in Avengers Con that has gone viral on the internet.
You take the phone and show my agent Cleary, who works in the Damage Control Department. After watching the footage, he asked his colleague to bring Ms. Marvel.
MCU fans will remember seeing Cleary, played by Aryan Moayed, in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Now in the setting of 2024 for Mrs. Marvel, Damage Control appears to be its own agency, seeking to enforce the Sokovia pacts from Captain America: Civil War that wiped out the vigil of superheroes without US government oversight and approval.
Tasked with investigating both Parker and Khan, superhero teens appear to be Cleary’s focus, suggesting that Marvel Phase 4 is setting up the Young Avengers. Maybe he’ll be the main villain of the show as he moves forward?
Ms. Marvel airs on Disney+, with a new episode every Wednesday.
