Chris Hemsworth Reveals The Status Of Hulk Hogan Movie (Exclusive)

Chris Hemsworth is busier than ever as his soon-to-be Marvel favorite will appear on screen again as Thor in Thor: Love and Thunder as his new Spiderhead movie prepares for release on Netflix. Another project expected in the works is the previously announced Hulk Hogan movie with Todd Phillips, but not much has been heard of the movie in a while. ComicBook.com’s Chris Killian recently spoke to Hemsworth about his new movie, and during the conversation Hemsworth gave a movie update on one of Wrestling’s most famous stars.

Hemsworth was asked how many shirts he stole in preparation for the Hulk Hogan-focused movie, and Hemsworth revealed that unfortunately, he hasn’t ripped any shirts yet. “(Laughs) It’s been a long time since this movie. It’s kind of in development you know, and if it pays off, that’s great. Todd Phillips is great. I haven’t torn any shirts yet, but you’ll be the first to hear about it when I do,” Hemsworth said.

The movie was announced back in 2019, and if it starts to pay off it will be released on Netflix. Hemsworth is excited about the project and previously revealed that it’s dedicated to transforming into the character in both physicality and attitude.

“This movie is going to be a really fun project,” Hemsworth told Total Film. “As you can imagine, preparing for the role is going to be insanely physical. And I’m going to have to put on a bigger size than I’ve ever had, even more than I’m wearing with Thor. There’s the accent as well as the physical and demeanor.”

He added, before suggesting that he would have to die with blonde hair and add some baldness and a mustache to complete Hogan’s trademark look.

Phillips also recently revealed that he’s working on a sequel to the blockbuster Joker, so hopefully, Hogan’s movie will make it to the finish line between Phillips and Hemsworth’s busy schedules.
