Earlier this year, Netflix debuted Anna’s creation, a miniseries that provided a fictionalized account of Anna Delphi’s attempts to defraud the rich and famous, some of whom were in the art world. Now there”Reinvent Anna,” a series of NFTs minted by Delvey herself, who is currently behind bars.
The NFTs are images of prints created by Delvey, and she is an artist in her own right. The three prints minted to date present simplified versions of episodes from Delphi’s private life. Each is available for just 0.08 ETH, or around $90.
In one publication, Delphi depicted the time she spent in ICE custody. (She was deported to Germany Reportedly still pending.) Delphi appears facing the viewer in a field of ICE detainees far away, standing over a cursive text that reads “White Privilege Enforcement: Denied.”

The NFTs come with what the project calls “Access Anna” with “exclusive live broadcasts and other online and metaverse events.” She also promised personal calls with Delvey, drawings by her, and more to “a select group of senior owners.”
It’s not clear what platform the NFTs are on, based on the “Reinventing Anna” website, but there is a link to a page operated by Delvey where users can issue their NFTs.
The website for “Reinventing Anna” frames Delvey’s latest project as an attempt to regain power over her life story.
“I see this first drop as an opportunity to connect directly with my audience and take charge of a narrative that has been largely out of my control, so far,” she was quoted as saying on the site.
She continues, “I am very excited to join the NFT community and contribute to a change in the way artists/creators interact with their fan base.” “It feels great to be a part of something new and innovative – a big part of my story is about breaking the rules and questioning the status quo. In this new chapter of my journey, I hope to use my voice for a positive (and legal) cause.”
Some, including Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, have described NFTs as “expensive digital photos,” but Delvey promised that her recent exploits were more legitimate than that.
“It’s not a picture I’m trying to sell,” she said Tell WWD in an interview Wednesday. “Pretty much all it does is provide personal access to me. It’s a way for me to connect with my fans.”
Anna Delvey, née Anna Sorokin, was convicted in 2019 of theft charges for defrauding people in her circle out of $275,000.
From prison, she succeeded in bringing her art to the masses. She had a show in New York in April that received coverage in CutsThe New York PostAnd the diverse, and other major ports. Not everyone was happy with it. RespectedThe opening report came with the title “I Went to Anna Delphi’s Dumb Art Fair”.
The show itself wasn’t necessarily free from fraud allegations, either. A participating artist claimed in May that she still owed $8,000.
Some have also claimed that NFTs are essentially scams, and at least they are vulnerable to hacking and theft. “Reinventing Anna” has a tips section that includes this tip: “NFT scams are everywhere these days. Stay tired of minting sites, Discord and Twitter for anyone asking you to send/receive/publish information that could put your wallet at risk.”
