Is Ya Boy Kongming renewed for season 2?
As previously noted, Ya Boy Kongming has not been publicly renewed for a second season by animation studio PA Works, Sentai Filmworks, or its associated distribution partners. However, the future is still very bright and fans can expect a second anime season to be produced – which is why.
The first point of contact with any anime revival is the source material; Is there enough content from an original light novel or manga series to adapt for another TV broadcast? The good news is that Ya Boy Kongming has plenty of source material left to be adapted into the anime.

Well, the anime adaptation was originally announced in November 2021, having debuted in April 2022 – a roughly six-month production cycle, although it’s likely that several months of pre-production may have occurred before the public reveal.
The availability of source materials and the lack of other PA Works projects give hope that a similar quick turnaround can be achieved for Ya Boy Kongming Season 2. An optimistic prediction for the return of January 2023 would be, but arguably the most realistic option is April 2023 – again on the spring anime slate.
