CBS has confirmed that an incident occurred with Capitol Police while the production team to support Triumph the Insult Comic Dog was on a congressional-authorized filming location.

“On Wednesday, June 15 and Thursday, June 16, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog was on location at the Capitol with a production team recording interviews for the comedy segment on behalf of The Late Show,” CBS said in a statement. . “They were interviewed at the Capitol and arranged in advance through congressional aides for the members interviewed. After leaving the members’ offices for their last interview of the day, the production team remained to film stand-up shows and other final comedy elements in the halls when they were taken into custody by Capitol Police.”
