Leak reveals Huawei’s upcoming AirPods Pro competitor – FreeBuds Pro 2

Huawei is said to be preparing to launch an excellent alternative to AirPods – FreeBuds Pro 2. Although the company has not shared any details about the upcoming flagship TWS earbuds yet, a new leak has revealed everything you need to know about FreeBuds Pro 2 before its official launch.

The leak in question comes from the famous Roland Quandt leak (via WinFuture), and gives us a good look at FreeBuds Pro 2. In addition, the leak reveals a bit about the specifications of its hardware and all the features you can expect to see on it. As you can see in the attached pictures, the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2 is very similar to the Apple AirPods Pro. The earpads have the same general shape but with a shorter and wider stem. The images also confirm that the FreeBuds Pro 2 will come in three colors – Silver Blue, Ceramic White, and Falcon Silver.

Quandt also reveals that Huawei has designed the FreeBuds Pro 2 in collaboration with French audio company Devialet, and that it offers three-stage Active Noise Canceling (ANC) up to 47 dB. The earphones are said to feature two built-in audio drivers with a frequency range of 14 to 48000 Hz. Furthermore, FreeBuds Pro 2 will come with Hi-Res Audio support and a triple adaptive equalizer that can simultaneously adjust volume, position and volume for optimal playback.

As far as battery life and charging is concerned, the FreeBuds Pro 2 will provide up to four hours of continuous music playback with ANC enabled and up to six and a half hours without ANC. The charging case will extend the battery life to 30 hours. Finally, FreeBuds Pro 2 will feature IP54 dust and water resistance.
