“I watched (the movie) last week and was literally howling with laughter that I almost peed on my seat a little bit. But honestly, this is the summer movie you don’t want to miss — I’m not kidding,” Taylor Johnson said. “It follows the ultimate legend Brad Pitt like you’ve never seen him before, surrounded by an incredible lineup of bomber and deranged killers linked but with conflicting agendas. Based on the book by Kotaro Izaka, Pete stars in the movie “Bullet Train” as Ladybug, an unlucky but highly talented assassin whose last assignment puts him on the world’s fastest express train in Japan alongside other killers from around the world.
Taylor Johnson said he and everyone involved in the film are “100% committed to the cinematic experience. We were making this movie at the height of the pandemic (so) we had high hopes of seeing it one day on the big screen, as it should.” The film will be released in theaters on August 5.
Taylor Johnson also spoke about his experience shooting “Kraven the Hunter,” which he described as “one of Marvel’s most iconic and famous heroes – the number one competitor to Spider-Man.” He said he found an interesting fact that this character is “not a stranger or a witch. He’s just a hunter, a convinced human being. A lover of animals and a protector of the natural world. He’s a very cool character.” He added that unlike other Marvel movies, “this movie was entirely shot on location.”
