Eleven years after the publication of A Dance with Dragons, George RR Martin is still working on the latest book, A Song of Ice and Fire. Three years after Game of Thrones ended and the author is snowing with all kinds of other projects including spin-offs, with House of the Dragon kicking off in August. In his latest blog, the 73-year-old confirmed the rumors that the Jon Snow TV series is already in the works and has been updated on The Winds of Winter.
The always busy writer said, “I don’t have free time today, truth be told, but I’m making one, because news has broken out about Jon Snow’s development and I’m overwhelmed with requests for comment. So….yes, a Jon Snow show is in development. It was a Hollywood Reporter story Pretty much correct. And I wouldn’t expect any less from James Heberd. I’ve dealt with a lot of reporters over the past few years and Hebbard has been one of the best reporters, he’s a real journalist who does all the things that reporters are supposed to do (get the facts right , talking to sources, respecting ‘background-only’ and non-saving requests, etc) that most clickbait sites never care about. Our working title in the show is Snow”.
Besides Snow, Martin is working with HBO on the development of Ten Thousand Ships, Sea Snake aka Nine Voyages, and Dunk and Egg show The Hedge Knight.
The creator of The Game of Thrones admitted that doesn’t mean they’re all green lit and they’d like them all to be, but in reality that probably won’t be the case.
Amidst all this news and the endless projects he’s been working on, he finally delivered this update on The Winds of Winter that winter fans really wanted.

Martin then wrote: “Wind, are you saying? Yes, you’re still working. I finally finished a bunch of Cersei classes that were giving me the fits. Now I’m wrestling with Jaime and Brin. The work continues, but not as fast as many of you would like. That’s it. Until now.”
The book may have been in the works for more than a decade, but now he’s working on Tyrion certainly indicates progress. Wait there, A Song of Ice and Fire fans.
