‘Cobra Kai’ Netflix Series ‘Obliterated’ Adds Two To Cast

Netflix comedy series “Obliterated” from the creators of “Cobra Kai” has found its first two cast members, diverse Learn.

Nick Zano and Shelley Henig are set to star in the series, which picked up on Netflix in May after they were originally ordered for the series at TBS.

The show tells the story of an elite Special Forces team that thwarts a deadly threat to Las Vegas. After their festive party, filled with alcohol, drugs, and sex, the team discovers that the bomb they defused was a fake. The drunken team now has to fight through their handicaps, overcome their personal issues, find the real bomb, and save the world.

Zano will play Chad McKnight, who heads up the Special Forces team. The team loves him despite his reputation for being a wild guy both on and off the job. Hell’s Night in Vegas will test his commitment to preserving the good times and saving the world while he’s at it.

Zano is best known for playing Nate Haywood, aka Steel, in the DC series “Legends of Tomorrow” on The CW. His other TV credits include “Minority Report”, “Happy Endings”, “2 Broke Girls” and “90210”. It is represented by UTA and John Carrabino Management.

Hennig will play Ava Frost, a major CIA agent who loves to play by the book while overseeing an elite team of Special Forces. But the book is thrown out the window when she and the team are forced to go back to work crippled.

Hennig recently starred in the Netflix series The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window. She is also known for shows like “Teen Wolf”, “Dollface” and “Days of Our Lives”. It has been represented by APA, Alchemy Entertainment, and Goodman Genow.

“Blur” was filmed for eight one-hour episodes. “Cobra Kai” writers Jon Horowitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Held serve as writers and executive producers on the show, as well as Dina Heller of Counterbalance Entertainment who also produces it. Sony Pictures Television, where Counterbalance is under a blanket deal, acts like a studio. Sony also produces the Cobra Kai.
