Last weekend was the thirteenth anniversary of Michael Jackson’s death. The 50-year-old king of pop was found dead at his Los Angeles home after suffering a heart attack on June 25, 2009.

While a single man who had been married twice before died. On May 26, 1994, he married Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of one of his idols, Elvis Presley. But it didn’t end well.

Their marriage did not last long. This was mainly because Michael was adamant about wanting to have children as soon as possible after the wedding. But Lisa Marie had different ideas.

She already has children from her previous marriage. So you didn’t want to rush to get more.

But Michael did not like her answer. So he started threatening Lisa Marie by saying that he would get his girlfriend and boyfriend Debbie Rowe to have his children instead.

She said Michael used to ask the people around him, “If you’re not going to do it, this person will. Are you going to do it or not?”

Despite these harsh comments, Lisa Marie defended his actions.

“Michael wasn’t a bad person, he didn’t know anything better,” said Lisa Marie. Despite this, she added, “I took it very personally, and I felt like I could be done away with.”

She told Oprah Winfrey in 2010 that she knew Debbie had been in frequent contact with Michael. She also knew that Debbie was telling the King of Pop that she was going to give birth to his children for him.

“He was going to tell me,” she remembers. “If she wasn’t going to do it, Debbie said she would.” And we were getting into arguments because that wasn’t how to handle it. But that’s how he knew how to deal with it.”

But Lisa Marie knew she had to have a stable home life to bring the children to her.

Lisa Marie said, “I just wanted to make sure. I was looking to the future and was thinking, ‘I never want to get into a custody battle with him.'” I don’t want to do this, I don’t I don’t want to go head to head with him so I need to make sure everything is OK. “

“I have children,” she added. “And I knew that bringing children in in certain circumstances has to make sure that everything is safe and sound. And I wanted to make sure that he and I were really united because we’re going to have a lot.”

Unfortunately, Michael’s wishes for children sooner rather than later were enough to break up the marriage. Lisa Marie filed for divorce in January 1996, after 18 months of marriage. They noted the existence of “irreconcilable differences”.

Before long, Michael started looking elsewhere to get what he wanted.
