The network announced Tuesday that wife-and-husband Rebecca Romijn (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds) and Jerry O’Connell (The Talk) will co-host CBS’ upcoming reality series The Real Love Boat.
Inspired by the 1970s series written “The Love Boat,” “The Real Love Boat” is a dating show that sees contestants mingle on a luxury cruise ship, sailing across the Mediterranean. The show will include destination dates and challenges between the couples making up, with one couple winning a cash prize and a free Princess Cruises cruise.
The Real Love Boat premieres October 5 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS, following the song Survivor and leading to “The Amazing Race.” Eureka Production is producing the series in collaboration with Buster Productions. Chris Colvinor, Paul Franklin, Wes Denning, and CEO Jay Benstock are producing the series for Eureka.

“Making the Cut” announced that it is returning to Prime Video on August 19. Season 3 of the popular fashion competition series will follow a new group of 10 talented designers from around the world as they take their emerging brands to the next level and compete for the grand prize of $1 million plus mentorship with Amazon Fashion. Joining co-hosts and executive producers Heidi Klum and Tim Jean are judges Nicole Richie, Creative Director of House of Harlow 1960, and Jeremy Scott, Creative Director of Moschino. The 46th annual NBC “Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular” has announced its star-studded lineup. Craig Melvin and Dylan Dreyer, presenters of NBC News’ “Today,” will return for a second time to co-host the evening. The event will feature performances from 5 Seconds of Summer, Brett Eldredge, Carly Pierce and Pitbull with Fillmore. Also appearing will be Free Style Love Supreme cast including Lin-Manuel Miranda, James Monroe Ellhart, Kela Moladi, Daisy Cinzi and Anthony Veneziale. and “Moulin Rouge!” Members of the “Musical” team Jacqueline B. Celebrity chef and barbecue expert, Chef David Rose, will also attend the event. Craig Ferguson, Padma Lakshmi, Paulina Porizkova and Wolfgang Puck will participate in a series of clips called “American Soul” in which guests share their stories about what it means to live in the United States. The event, which will launch more than 48,000 shells and impact from five barges on the East River in New York City, will be broadcast Monday, July 4, from 8 to 10 p.m. on NBC. It will also be broadcast on Peacock. The presentation will follow from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. on NBC.

A new four-part documentary series from Dawn Porter has been announced, by Showtime Documentary Films. The documentary traces the recent history of the Supreme Court, the people, decisions, and confirmation battles that shaped the United States. To better understand today’s critical moment with the Court in light of its many historical decisions, the series revisits the 1950s when Chief Justice Earl Warren led the Court through an era of progressive legal decisions. Produced by Trilogy Films and Sony Pictures Television, the documentary series will be shown in early 2023. Porter executive producers along with Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman for Sony Pictures Television.

Hulu will be the official broadcast for the 2022 Essence Festival, which will take place in New Orleans approximately from June 30 to July 3. The programming will include panel discussions and music performances that will be available exclusively to Hulu SVOD subscribers to stream. The ‘Essence Fest Primetime’ live stream will run on Hulu from July 1-3 from 7pm until 11:59pm Cairo time. Hulu will also offer an immersive festival experience, called “The Rink @ The Hulu Motel,” which will feature a skating rink filled with gifts and content food and drinks.
