Bad Bunny album back to #1; Beyoncé’s “Break My Soul” took the top ten

Bad Bunny’s “Un Verano Sin Ti” spent three non-consecutive weeks at number one, becoming the only Spanish-language album to spend several weeks at the top of the Billboard 200.

The 23-track group took the second-most number of weeks at number one in 2022, after the soundtrack to “Encanto,” which features nine. Among the first eight weeks on the chart, “Un Verano Sin Ti” has yet to drop to number two. In all, the album had 115,000 equivalent album units in the United States in the week ending June 30, according to painting via Luminate.

Luke Combs had the highest-grossing country album debut of the week in 2022 with “Growin’ Up”, which reached number two on the chart with 74,000 equivalent album units. “Growin’ Up” is the singer’s fourth studio attempt to enter the top five on the Billboard 200.

Drake’s album “Honestly, Nevermind” slips into third place after debuting at number one a week ago, with 73,000 equivalent album units in its second frame.

Bad Bunny isn’t the only one who’s back in the top spot after previously bouncing in and out of that spot. On the Billboard Hot 100, Harry Styles’ song “As It Was” rebounded from number two to the top, for its eighth overall week to top the singles chart since debuting at number one in mid-April 16.

Also on the Hot 100, Beyoncé’s “Break My Soul” climbed to number seven from number fifteen, debuting after releasing the song’s surprise midweek. Although it hasn’t reached #1 on the main chart yet, the song Break My Soul—featuring house-inspired synchronization and piano beats—has given Beyoncé her number one spot on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart.

On the Hot 100, Beyoncé is now in her Top 10 as a solo artist — six years after her last single, “Formation,” which peaked at number 10 in 2016. Top 10 hits for Break My Soul also sees Beyoncé joining Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson as the third solo artist in history have 20 Top 10 hits on the Hot 100. (McCartney has 23 singles on top of 34 with the Beatles; Jackson has 30 Top 10 hits as a solo plus 11 as a member of The Jackson 5 and Jacksons.)

Elsewhere on the Hot 100, former No. 1 Jack Harlow’s “First Class” shows his resilience as it rises to No. Lizzo’s “About Damn Time” moved two places to No. 3; Future’s “Wait For You,” starring Drake and Thames, is still at number four. And Drake and 21 Savage “Jimmy Cooks” slipped back to fifth after being fired at number one last week. Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)” climbed to number six (having previously reached the top of #4), and is still missing out on its major re-introduction in pop culture via “Stranger Things” on Netflix.

Among the new entries on the album chart, after the premiere of Combs #2, Chris Brown had his second highest-grossing arc of the week with “Breezy”, his 12th top 10 albums. The album took fourth place with 72,000 album equivalent units. Twice Nayeon member’s debut single album, “Im Nayeon: The 1st Mini Album”, debuted at number seven and earned 57,000 equivalent album units. To date, Conan Gray has featured a fourth new album at number nine with his second best album, “Superache”, gaining 43,000 album-equivalent units.

Largely a new album, but not a technically new release for chart purposes, Lil Durk’s “7220” jumped from No. 19 to No. 5 with 68,000 equivalent album units acquired after the album was re-released on June 24 with an additional 13 release. Song.

Of the remaining, Harry Styles’ Harry Styles dropped 3-6 with 63,000 units. Morgan Wallen’s “Dangerous: The Double Album” dropped 5-8 and earned 51,000 equivalent album units. And closing the top ten is the previous No. 1 in Future’s “I’ve Never Liked You,” at No. 10 with 43,000 units.
