After the first part of its fourth season, Kate Bush has returned to the spotlight in pop culture For her track “Running Up That Hill”, Weird things It got a little heavier with the musical influences in the monster-sized finale. One of the most memorable sequences of the episode (or the entire season, really) featured Joseph Quinn’s Insta Fav Eddie Monson draws a group of experimental bats His way up with an epic rooftop solo performance of the Metallica classic “Master of Puppets”. Now, Grammy-winning rockers have responded to the Netflix song in honor of their heavyweight track, even as some fans question the legitimacy of Eddie’s expertise.
After the release of Weird things“The last two episodes of season 4, the Internet was full of fans” dealing with everything that happened Eddie’s Sacrifice the Great Finale Front and center in a lot of those views. But while many bemoan his loss after only getting one season to entertain fans of the show, Metallica celebrated the show by using “Master of Puppets” to drive that scene home, and sharing this on Instagram:
The most successful Hard Rock quartet clearly found plenty to enjoy on the scene, considering the entire world-traversing sequence was as grueling and heart-pounding as Weird things Obtains. Not only because of Eddie, but also because of Max’s mental battle with Vicna and the return of her half-brother Billy. Having said that, I bet Billy liked Eddie.
Metallica’s post continued, once again providing props for the show itself, as well as the rest of the music shows that Weird things Delivered in its four seasons so far.
As awesome as Eddie’s scene is, it’s technically one of the season’s most baffling scenes by practical reasoning. And I’m not even talking about Upside Down creatures or Vecna or monsters, I’m talking about Eddie’s musical abilities. Consider this: Metallica’s puppet master The album was released on March 3, 1986, while Season 4’s main narrative begins on March 21, and only spans a little over a week or so.
Thus, realistically, Eddie needed to learn the entire “Master of Puppets”, including, by ear only, as there was no obvious way to get to the tabs or the musical notes at that point. And don’t forget that Eddie was technically on the run for most of Season 4 after Chrissy’s murder, and at that point he definitely wasn’t busy learning songs, because jamming so hard would clearly have caught Hawkins’ attention. Witch hunters.
So I think we can honor Eddie not just for his dedicated work, but for being a ridiculous guitarist. Sure, El’s powers are cool and all, but can she tear up? doubt it.
Metallica wasn’t the only hard rock group to perform Weird things Shout to recognize the screen. Check out how Iron Maiden responded to Eddie’s praise:

Am I really afraid of that Weird things And/or will its potential spin-offs enter the ’90s and bring in an equal amount of attention after decades of work and artists that probably don’t deserve to be remembered? You better believe it. But until then, the clearest path to follow in Season 5 is to make Metallica’s “One” the central theme for Vecna. Nothing else has meaning.
