Estonian comedy/drama “Free Money” featuring NFTs

Estonian comedy/drama “Free Money”, now filmed by director and writer Rain Rannu in Estonia, after an American shoot, will be one of the first films ever to integrate non-fungible tokens (NFTs) directly into the viewing experience, New Europe movie reports.

The movie will become a more interactive experience for anyone with a crypto wallet as a result. “For example, there will be QR codes appearing in the movie itself that will unlock NFT artwork and tokens, rewarding early viewers and those with particularly sharp eyes with exclusive assets to own,” Rano told FNE.

“Free Money” tells three loosely connected stories about money, cryptocurrency, and investment culture in the past few years when investing became a form of entertainment, and ordinary people traded stocks and coins.

The main characters are a reckless crypto entrepreneur (Hungarian actor Miklós Bányai), a programmer (Märt Pius), and a conservative banker (Ivo Uukkivi), with an emphasis on their relationship with money.

The film will be in English and Estonian.

“Free Money” combines traditional filmmaking with more automatic and semi-documentary series in real locations and with real events; For example, a series of films was filmed live at the largest investment festival in Estonia with the participation of 1,200 participants.

The film is produced by Tallifornia and funded by the Tallifornia Film Fund, the first private investment fund in Estonia.

Better not to talk about the budget. Let’s just say it’s between 10 and 50 bitcoins,” Rano told FNE.

“Free Money” is scheduled to be launched in the first half of 2023.
