BBeware of spoilers from the final season of “Stranger Things,” just in case the series doesn’t keep up. Fans of the show have all been waiting for Noah Schnapp to address two things, he is the one who plays Will on the show. Perhaps most compelling is the character’s sexual orientation, which leaves very little to the imagination in a particular scene from Season 4.
The other thing we all expected him to comment on was the confrontation on social media with the hip-hop artist doja cat. Noah posted a screenshot of a private conversation the two had on Instagram due to her liking for actor Joseph Quinn. Doja responded by calling it ‘snake and weaselNo, we know what Noah Schnapp thinks about it.
Is Will from Stranger Things gay?
In previous seasons of Stranger Things, the Duffer brothers had already been flirting with the idea of making Will a gay character. Season 4 finally gave them the opportunity they were looking for and gave the character a great story to tackle the sister. There is a scene where Will appears to have feelings for Mike.
Noah addressed this in an interview with Variety: “It’s very clear this season that Will has feelings for Mike. They’ve purposely pulled that off over the past few seasons. Even in season one, they hinted at that and slowly, slowly, that story grew. For season 4, I was just playing this character who loves her best friend but struggles to figure out whether or not he’ll be accepted, feeling like he’s wrong and that he doesn’t belong.”
What did Noah Schnapp say to Doja Cat?
Regarding the Doja Cat controversy, Noah also revealed that he actually apologized to her. He understood that her feelings were hurt and he never intended for her to be that way. In fact, he revealed Doja Cat as one of his biggest role models during this interview with Variety.
Here’s what Noah had to say who stopped this spat on social media: “I posted that I don’t think about it much, but it obviously hurt her feelings. So, as I should, she apologized and she was totally fine with it, and she was like, ‘I’m sorry about my throwback’ Actual.” It was all good. I love her. I’m such a big fan of her music, and I told her so. I was like, You’re literally my role model. It’s all good.”
