Media Talent App Husslup Collaborates with Fuse Media and Keshet Studios

Media talent discovery app Husslup has joined forces with Fuse Media, Keshet Studios and Roadmap Writers to expand research initiatives in identifying the next generation of film and television talent.

The Husslup app, currently in its beta phase, has revealed the winners of the “Roadmap Writers X HUSSLUP” competition: writers Sarah Mack and Josh Price took home the award, an opportunity to showcase their full text, “Shrink Retreat,” to Keshet International CEO Alon Strosman (“La Brea”, “The Missing”).

“Shrink Retreat” is about “a debilitated young woman therapist trying to revive her passion for helping others at a secret haven for psychologists at what turns out to be a goofy summer camp.”

The winner was chosen from a group of five finalists that also included Eric Rudnick (“Hold You Hard”), Gabriel Malasig (“American Hash”), Jacobo V (“Halstead: Between Pleasure and Pain”) and Gina de Angelis (“Knockouts”). marshes”).

Over 300 entries were submitted, with Husslup members selecting the winner from among the five finalists.

“We’re talking about great writers who tell original stories and Husslup helps us identify and screen smart new talent,” Strossman said. “I am very excited to be an early partner on this leading digital platform and look forward to hearing the winning presentation from an amazing writer who has the potential for the next big success.”

Husslup is also working with Fuse Media to find movies to premiere in 2024 on the company’s streaming service Fuse+. Content creators who submit their films through Husslup will have the opportunity to be a part of Fuse + Filmmakers to Watch, which elevates young women, minority filmmakers, filmmakers and talent through a film series that supports diverse young artists.

“Fuse has always supported independent filmmakers with its award-winning Fuse Docs and Fuse Films franchises, both of which highlight stories around underrepresented communities,” said Mark Leonard, Head of Content and Marketing at Fuse Media. “What we have discovered through this process is that there is really no environment to foster the development of emerging filmmakers. We have created Watch Filmmakers to fill this void and we are excited to partner with Husslup to bring exciting new talents to our audience.”

Run by founder/CEO H. Schuster, Hoslop’s 45 partners include NBCUniversal’s film and studio groups, Telemundo, AGBO Films of the Russo Brothers, Shingle Shingle Blumhouse Productions, and Don Cheadle’s This Radicle Act. It has also forged partnerships with DEI-focused organizations such as Women In Film, Outfest, and the National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP).
