Jeff reacts to the nickname of the son

Jeff couldn’t stand his excitement in front of the cameras when his son Jake won the 1500m world title.

He said, “I have to tell you why the camera is on me. This is my son. I coach him. He is the world champion.”

Jeff continued, “I’ve been doing his school gym day since he was 11 because my wife was a physical education teacher.

“We just took it to a little bigger stadiums, a little bigger crowds and a little bit bigger medals. But it was surreal to watch him win the gold. I was thinking: I know that guy. He has a familiar look.”
