WFTV 9 reporter Angela Jacobs died after losing her battle with metastatic breast cancer this week.

Angela opened up about her battle with breast cancer in 2020, when she explained that she underwent 56 treatments over five weeks of radiotherapy. She also underwent four surgeries and lost her hair.

After a long battle, Angela overcame the disease and spent nearly two years in remission, before the cancer returned this year.

This time, Angela underwent chemotherapy and tried experimental treatments, WFTV Reports.

Her colleagues described her as “very loyal” and many of them praised their girlfriend on social media. Lauren Seabrook said she was “angry/sad” after losing her friend and said Angela had struggled “so hard with this grace and selflessness”.

Even the Orange County sheriff’s office offered their condolences, saying they were ‘sorry to hear of the death’ and said she had ‘all the qualities of the best reporter’.
