The Walking Dead Final Trailer, Premiere Date Revealed

AMC has finally set the premiere date and released the trailer for the final installments of “The Walking Dead.”

The remaining eight episodes of the eleventh and final season of the long-running zombie series will begin airing October 2 on AMC. The satellite channel revealed the news, along with the 11C season trailer for “The Walking Dead” Friday during the Hall H panel show at San Diego Comic-Con.

Season 11 of “The Walking Dead” consists of a total of 24 episodes, and AMC chose to release it over two years. Part A aired from August 22 to October. 10, 2021 and Part B from February 20 to April 10, 2022.

According to AMC’s description of Season 11C “The Walking Dead,” “In the upcoming final episodes of ‘The Walking Dead,’ threats lie around every corner, dead and alive, as each group continues to fall into uncontrollable situations. The looming pressure Judgment Day is approaching for everyone. Will the sum of their individual trips accumulate into one, or will you split them up forever?”

Moderated by Chris Hardwick, the last SDCC for “The Walking Dead” featured stars Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Christian Serratos, Ross Marquand, Khary Payton, Seth Gilliam, Josh McDermitt, Michael James Shaw, Kylie Fleming and Lauren Ridloff, as well as Scott Gimple, Senior Creator of the Walking Dead movie series, current Walking Dead presenter and executive producer Angela Kang, and Executive Producer, Director and Supervisor of Makeup and Special Effects Greg Nicotero.

Ahead of the swan song “The Walking Dead” panel, AMC hosted the first-ever Comic-Con panel for the “Tales of the Walking Dead” anthology sub-series, which premieres August 14.
