The bear Arrived in Hulu and captivating audiences. Throughout its eight episodes, fans of the series watch Carmi (performed by Jeremy Allen White), a chef working at a fine dining restaurant, returning to his Chicago home in order to take ownership of his family’s sandwich shop after his brother, Michael, committed suicide. And boy, was it Wild And the capacitor Riding from start to finish has many calls The bear One of the best things TV has to offer – but here we are, at the end of season one, and already looking forward to the start of season two.
As any TV show season comes to an end, there’s always a lot that goes in at the end, so if you’re wondering why Michael put all that money into these tomato cans, or what might be next for everyone in The Original Beef, here’s an explanation The bear Season 1 is over – and what we can look forward to in Season 2.
What happens at the end of bear season 1
The bear It was a great ride from start to finish, from that fast-paced first episode to everything that came after. All that drama and intensity raged in episode 7, but the final episode, “Braciole,” is where it all ended up together like the perfect dish at your favorite restaurant.
Episode 7, in general, was an episode of Hell With that one shotShow how hot things are in the kitchen, and as you watch them, you can feel the intensity. In an interview with IbroxJeremy Allen White talked about how he played Carmi during that episode, and how he wanted to make this moment a breaking point for Carmi:
During the final episode, we see the insanity fallout from Episode 7, in which Sydney and Marcus both drop out after Carmi collapses in the kitchen, following a massive influx of orders into the Original Beef when Sydney leaves the pre-order option for their service to go.
Karmi attends Al-Anon’s meeting, where he reveals why he got into the food industry in the first place because his brother wouldn’t let him cook at the store. Now, it was as if he was trying to prove him wrong, and as his cooking improved, his mental state deteriorated, and Carmi realized he was trying to fix the restaurant, and he was just trying to mend the strained relationship he had with his brother. After that, he’s back – and seems to have a new attitude in mind.
They have a bachelor party after Richie hits someone very aggressively, but the person survives, after which Carmi (after picking Richie from the police) and Richie finally stop fighting and come to a truce, because, like Richie says, Carmi is “all he has” .
Marcus returns to work after having heart-to-heart with Sydney regarding their culinary interests, while Sydney is a bit more reluctant. Carmi apologizes to Marcus after bumping him during episode seven, and Sydney soon returns at the end of the episode as well.
However, that doesn’t mean everything between Carmi and Sydney is too keen. In an interview with collider White said things are still tense between them — and in Season 2, their strained partnership will likely be a big main story:
However, in the end, they all share a meal together – and look to the store’s future, despite all the drama that has occurred.

Richie ends up delivering a letter to Carmi from Michael (Played by Jon BerthalWhich were his last words to his brother. In it, Karmi receives not only a small note from his deceased brother, but his family’s pasta recipe, that small cans of tomato sauce taste better.
Karmi intends to prepare the tomato sauce recipe, and he opens a small can of tomato sauce, in which he finds a sum of cash. Thinking quickly, he began to realize that the little cans of tomato sauce all contained packets of cash, so he closed the store, and spent the rest of the day going through each can of tomato.
and in Everyone, There is a stack of cash. It’s a blessing on the outside – a recent gift from Michael in the form of Uncle Jimmy’s $300,000 loan, which in turn means Michael has been telling the truth about his desire for the franchise, opening a restaurant with Carmi, despite their strained relationship.
The show’s creator, Christopher Storer, spoke about the moment, and how all that money got into those cans in the first place in an interview with Indiewire:
Although this idea may seem strange, Storer agrees, but said there is a precedent for Michael’s method:
Talk about a smart way to leave money behind. No matter what, it gave Karmi the push he needed to really start rebuilding The Original Beef – which we’ll finally get to.
The original beef is almost done
As we’ve all seen on that tag that Karmi hung up, The Original Beef in The bear It closes – and a new place called “Bear” (appropriately) will open in its place. It’s a hopeful ending to the future, because now they have the potential funds to restart this place from the ground up and create something great.
However, there are still issues. Still Uncle Jimmy very much Carmi held Michael’s loan to the restaurant, so how the hell will Carmi pay that and also Never “bear”? And let’s not get it inside Tax issues, the IRS, and selling licenses.
However, it appears that the show’s creator has already covered that, as he mentioned in an IndieWire interview, with Storer noting that next season will not only cover the logistics of finding all that money, but the emotional state that Karmi will be in next. :
The bear It was a great addition to Hulu’s original lineup, and I can’t wait to see what it brings in Season 2. Now, if you don’t mind, I’ll go ahead and recreate the beautiful chocolate cake that Marcus made. I’m really hungry.
