Jeopardy: Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings to host new tournaments

“Risk!” She clings to each of her hosts as she arrives to conquer a new land.

The esteemed game show has confirmed that it has signed long-term deals with both current co-hosts Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings, who will go on to co-host the show as Sony Pictures Entertainment and executive producer Michael Davies plan to expand the franchise.

“The truth is we have a lot of risk! To make so many plans for the future, which we’ve always known we’ll need multiple hosts for the franchise, we’re very grateful that Mayim and Ken stepped in and stepped in to put the show in a position to succeed,” Davis said in a note to staff Wednesday.

As the show kicks off its new season in September, Jennings will host the inaugural “Second Chance” competition as well as the show’s Championship Tournament. In the meantime, he will be hosting his first film, Bialik, “Celebrity Jeopardy!” On ABC prime time. He then takes over hosting duties for the group program in January. Under the current plan, says Davis, the producers want her to “host two new tournaments in addition to the ‘Jeopardy! National College Championship” and many weeks she can manage with her other prime-time commitment to ‘Call Me Kat.’ We know you value consistency, so we won’t constantly flip hosts and will keep you posted on the hosting schedule.”
