Gomez said Reshoots “changed a lot of things.” “The main thing about Marvel is that they’re doing test shows so they can make the movie what the fans want it to be, and make it what Marvel movies are. We’ve made a lot of changes to reshoot, it’s been so crazy.”
She continued, “A lot of work, but it was really fun and it was challenging, but it was really fun to wire back the things I’ve already done, to do it in a different style with different intentions and things.”

“One of the main things that changed was that Defender Strange was really saving me in the beginning and it was a turning point, when he died, I was heartbroken by the fact that someone who cared for and protected me had died,” Gomez explained. “Then, when we did the reshoot, that major drastic change was that Defender Strange was actually cheating on me and trying to take my power away from me.”
The change gave Gomez and Cumberbatch “a lot to work with” as the two characters who, in the end, develop a friendly bond. “I’m glad I fell into your world,” America tells Strange, ending the film as a master’s intern in the mysterious arts at Kamar-Taj. He replied, “So I am a child, and so am I.”
