Valve aims to meet existing Steam Deck orders by the end of the year

Back in June, Valve delivered some good news, saying that it had completed its orders that were set for the second quarter of the year and would move on to fulfilling customer orders scheduled for delivery in the third quarter. Today, the news is even better, as the company released a new order schedule, stating that it will be able to fulfill customer orders sooner than expected.

According to Valve, it will fulfill orders sooner due to the liquidation of supply chain issues. In addition, the company is constantly working to increase the speed of production of its console. In light of this, the company has updated the Steam Deck pre-order page, letting excited customers know when they will receive their units. Many of those that were in the “Q4 or later” category are now worn through the third quarter, which means they’ll receive their console sometime in July through September. The remaining pre-orders will be carried out from October through December. Fortunately, anyone who is currently on the reservation queue will get a Steam Deck before the end of the year.

Steam Deck booking page shows Q4 delivery date

Valve shared that those who pre-order currently should receive their console by the end of the year, which is good news. If you’re just curious and haven’t pre-ordered yet, now might be the perfect time. Valve warns that once the Q4 order queue is filled, those orders will be fulfilled in 2023.

For the most part, Valve has done a great job with its console version. The company made spare parts available for repair and also kept the console updated with new and important features. It was even able to support the Windows community, despite initially stating that it would not offer support outside of the console’s standard operating system. The only question that remains now is when the company will move on to ship the delayed Steam Deck Docking Station.
