YMU Group launches American literature department headed by Aram Fox (Exclusive)

Transatlantic talent management firm YMU Group has launched an American literary division under the leadership of Aram Fox.

The launch of a US literary agency aims to replicate the ambitions of the UK Department of Books at YMU, launched by Amanda Harris, Global Managing Director of Literature, which has grown exponentially over the past two years. The project also represents the company’s commitment to continue to grow and invest in the US market and to replicate its UK operations, just as many US agencies have begun to cross the pond themselves.

By reporting to Harris, Fox will sign new clients into his division, and will represent North American interests on the YMU roster.

YMU has offices in Los Angeles, New York, and Washington, as well as London and Manchester in the United Kingdom. The company has clients in music, sports, publishing, entertainment, arts and social, among other areas. Global clients include Steve Aoki, Rolling Stones, Nick Cave, Pentatonix, Amelia Dimoldenberg, Frances Bourgeois, Graham Norton and Tyler Adams.

Aram joins YMU from Aram Fox Literary Scouting, an agency he set up at the age of 26, which has grown to represent international publishers and American film companies including HarperCollins UK, Disney Channel, Happy Madison Productions, and major imprints of Bonnier Media Deutschland and Vivendi/Editis , among other things.

As founder and president, Fox has mentored the company’s clients for writers such as Brett Bennett, Susan Kane, Emma Klein, Harlan Cobain, Anthony Doerr, Glennon Doyle, Angela Duckworth, Lena Dunham, Billie Eilish, Gillian Flynn, Hannah Gadsby, Bill Gates, Malcolm Gladwell and Dave Grohl.

Aram’s headquarters will be in New York.
