The project will be produced by director and producer Pau Calpe and Nati Escobar at Spain’s Galapagos Media, and co-produced by Xavier Crespo at Dacsa Productions. Calpe just directed “Tros,” a drama that was sold by Film Factory. Galápagos recently co-produced Icíar Bollaín’s “Yuli”.

Escobar is one of three Spanish producers selected to participate in this year’s Match Me! Version. “We are interested in low-budget projects in the home, regardless of the language of filming. Mainly contemporary drama intended for adults and urban audiences,” she said.
The second title on the Galapagos production slate, Escobar said, is “Men of the Sea,” a depiction of “a world coming to an end.” The feature is set on Sole Bank, a sandbank between southern England and the North Sea.
