Selena Gomez could stop acting to get married and become a mother

sElena Gomez revealed that at some point in her life she wants to get married and become a mother, and is ready to move away from acting to focus on her personal life.

The music star revealed on Friday’s episode of TaTaTu’s video podcast, “Giving Back Generation.”

“I wish I could get married and be a mother,” Selena, 30, told hosts Raquel Stevens and Ashley Cook, who are both old friends.

“Eventually, I’ll get tired of it all, so I’ll probably devote most of my life to charity before I’m at peace.”

Her half-sister, an inspiration to a different kind of life

The “Same Old Love” star went on to reveal how watching her eight-year-old half-sister, Gracie Teffe, grow up made her feel confident in her desire to be a mother.

“She puts things into perspective,” Gomez said of her sister.

“I had to watch this little person grow into a human. There is no better feeling in the world.

“In a way I feel like a mother, even though I am not.

“It gives me great pleasure to see that life was so simple at one time, I want to enjoy life as you enjoy life.”

This isn’t the first time Selena has talked about starting a family

During her June appearance on The Hollywood Reporter “Awards Chatter” podcast, Gomez said that her move from Texas to Hollywood made her put the idea of having children into the background.

“I will definitely have four children,” she said.

“Maybe unplanned, maybe planned, maybe both. And there’s nothing wrong with the life I would have.”

Although she is currently single, romance may loom for Selena after she was seen flirting with Italian film producer Andrea Irvolino while cruising in Positano, Italy last Wednesday.
